Guess who’s back, back again, nope not that guy…. its our old pal Johnny Tobacconaut.
Johnny Tobacconaut, a limited-edition Nicaraguan puro introduced in 2015, has undergone a significant transformation. After a few years of absence, it made a triumphant return in 2021, this time with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. The 2021 edition was exclusively available through Luxury Cigar Club and its retail partners.
2023 would be our year, Johnny was back and stronger than ever. He was announced to have a regular production, using the Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and a Nicaraguan binder filler. 2025 was the year of the Johnny 10th anniversary cigar, after being delayed in 2024 due to a factory fire.
Now, in 2026, Johnny underwent a significant transformation. This change resulted in a completely different appearance for this space-traveling man. You could even call him a Maduro version of himself, yes, I said it. For full details, please refer to the below section.

PCA was the place where I managed to get my hands on something that seemed impossible, thanks to our dear friend Matt Booth. I decided to save the cigar for our weekly coffee and cigars live show, and here’s a summary of my live review:
The 1/3 of the cigar begins with a delightful taste of coffee, accompanied by subtle hints of chocolate in the background. As the smoke progresses,
the 2/3 introduces a more pronounced cinnamon note, especially in the retro hale. The chocolate flavor takes center stage, becoming the dominant element in the overall taste.
The final third maintains a consistent profile, characterized by creamy smoke, notes of coffee, chocolate, and a touch of spice.
Overall, this cigar is a great choice and will undoubtedly become a staple in the Johnny Tobaccounaut core line.
