I had the pleasure of meeting one of the founding members of Flashover Cigars, Geno Tollison, at their booth during PCA this year. Flashover Cigars was founded by three friends: Eugene ‘Geno’ Tollison, Victor ‘Mayor’ Gibson, and Bruce Smith. These three individuals are all active firefighters by trade.

Flashover uses Tabacalera La Isla in the Dominican Republic to roll the 0800. The 0800 is made up of a Habano 2000 wrapper with Dominican fillers and binders and comes in a robusto 5×50.
Geno also informed me about their upcoming cigar, the High-rise, which will be released sometime after PCA this year. The High-rise was rolled at Tabacalera La Isla using a Corojo wrapper, a Habano binder, and a Dominican filler. Unlike the 0800, which comes in a 5×50 robusto, this cigar will be featured in a 6×50 toro.
