Wildfire Cigar Company Radio-Octave Review

Another Barrel Burners review is here and today we take a look at the Radio-Octave from Wildfire Cigars.  Radio-Octave follows the Fault Line and the Dead Drift which we had the pleasure of smoking and review before. You can check out  our review of the Dead Drift here.

The Radio-Octave is a limited-production corona gorda 5 3/4 x 48 that marks the third and final installment of the brand’s “The Intro” series. Rolled at Tabacalera William Ventura, it retails for $16 per stick and is a strict one-and-done production.

    • Flavors: Smokers can expect intricate, balanced notes of sweet baking spices, roasted peanuts, leather, and cream.

The Review:

First Third:
Right from the jump, The Radio-Óctave came out with good flavor. I got some cedar, pepper, and a little natural sweetness right away. Good smoke output and a solid first impression. it settled in, it started getting richer. The pepper backed off some and I picked up creaminess, nuts, and a little coffee note. Nice balance here and very easy to stay locked in with.

Second Third:
This is where it really hit its stride for me. More body, more richness, and better depth. I got leather, oak, and a darker sweetness that made this part of the cigar the standout.

Final Third:
The final third turned up the strength a bit and brought more earth, pepper, and roasted nuts. It finished bold and flavorful without falling apart.

Final Thoughts:
The Radio-Óctave is a solid cigar that builds nicely from start to finish. It gets better as it goes, has good flavor throughout, and brings enough richness to keep it interesting. Definitely one I’d smoke again.
