Crowned Heads Moonflower Review

Crowned Heads is introducing a new addition to its core line, and it’s something to be excited about. The new cigar comes wrapped in a sleek baby blue wrapper that immediately catches your attention. It’s the first new product they’ve collaborated on with My Father Cigars in ten years.

The Moonflower is a medium to full-bodied Nicaraguan Puro, showcasing its dark Corojo wrapper. A double binder made from a blend of Esteli and Jalapa tobaccos, along with premium Nicaraguan long-filler tobaccos.

I had the opportunity to visit PCA and meet Jon Huber in person to discuss this new core line cigar. I learned that it will be available for shipping in May. This cigar was my most sought-after at the entire convention, and finally meeting Jon was an added bonus. I’m thrilled to have received a few samples to try early and share my excitement with you all. Below, you’ll find the full details about the cigar, followed by my concise review.

Ok lets get to the review,

Ok first off wow, I was blown away by this thing and the immediate intensity I was met with upon first lite up, here are the details below:

This cigar is a pepper bomb, bursting with a generous amount of pepper that doesn’t overpower the palate. There are subtle hints of cream and wood, reminiscent of a charred oak bourbon.

Second 3rd : more cream and and more charred wood, in this transition, with pepper still a key component. The retro hale is intense spices but not in a bad way, its well done and not over baring.

Final 3rd: hello pepper and spice, they take the full stage again but in a more laid back way, its mellow and relaxing, all at the same time while still packing a punch to the mouth.

This cigar is a masterpiece, a crown jewel in Crowned Heads’ portfolio. It’s like their sixteenth chapel, or perhaps their baby boy or favorite child, depending on who you ask. The baby blue presentation was probably intentional, a sign of their confidence in this creation of their favorite child!

Thank you for taking the time to read my review of the Moonflower. I can confidently say that this will be my favorite core line cigar from their entire collection. It’s an absolute masterpiece and work of art from My Father and Crowned Heads, leaving me clapping my hands and shouting encore!
