ILLUSIONE ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS MADURO

This weekend I had the pleasure to revisit and smoke the Illusion Original Documents Maduro in a 5×52 robusto. The smoke was everything I remembered it to be, and more. A small stick of dynamite, a pepper bomb, a pure enjoyment from cold draw to final puff!

Right off the bat you will notice this cigar has a new updated cigar band, that is eye catching and will for sure help this cigar stand out on shelves. The blend however remains unchanged and still consist of all Nicaraguan tobaccos, with a Maduro wrapper.

The average price of this cigar is around $10 and comes in boxes of 25, but I did come across some sites offering 5 packs and singles.

Original Documents Maduro is rated Medium to Full strength, but in my opinion it leans more on the full side. The initial smell of hits you with a blast of sweet tobacco and hints of coffee. Cold draw I was greeted with a dark coffee flavor and cocoa powder. Upon light up the flavor ramped up, and I was greeted with coffee, leather and chocolate. The retro was intense with pepper, but in a good way, and never left throughout the whole smoking experience.

If you love a cigar with pepper, this is for you, retro and the draw both have hints of pepper and cinnamon. This cigar smoked like a dream with a flawless wrapper, great construction, and not a single burn issue during the whole smoke.

I honestly forgot how good of a value this cigar was and how good it smoked, makes me think I should revisit some others that I have not tried in years. So my advice to you today, try a cigar you have not tried in years and see how it holds up this time around!
