Black Star Line Announces 5th Anniversary Cigar Rolled By La Zona

Black Star Line fifth year anniversary cigar will be rolled by La Zona. The name of the cigar is Marun. Marun simply means five in Yoruba. Yoruba is an indigenous tribe of Nigeria. Aric Bey states,” The opportunity to work with the Espinosa team was brought to me by Richie “riot” Otero. He recognized our hard work and proposed we do a project with La Zona. It was Great working with Hector Alfonso the master blender at La Zona. He is a wealth of knowledge and taught me and my team some new things.” Bey states, “this is a significant year for us. It came up fast and I can’t believe I’ve had this much success in a short period of time. The fifth year for most businesses is a pivotal year and we are looking to keep growing”. La Zona along with all the other factories I work with will help us to get there.” The blend consists of Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and fillers in 6×50 vitola. The first run will be 5000 cigars. A limited amount of samples will be available at PCA. Anticipated shipping for Marun with be early June. MSRP for Marun will be 12.99.

Additionally there is a special version of Marun being released For Oak Glen Tobacconist in Yucaipa, CA. “Oak Glen Tobacconist is one of my favorite retail partners and I felt like honoring our relationship by giving them a special size of Marun.” The Oak Glen Tobacconist version of Marun will be a 6.5×48  box pressed vitola with a closed foot. It is a small run of 1400 cigars total.
