Todays cigar to review is the Yellowstone from Big Sky Cigars. This cigar is named after the Yellowstone River and comes in at a size of 5X50 with a Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper and a Nicaragua binder and filler, with the binder and fillers being Nicaragua.
Cold draw gave me hints of hay, leather and earthly notes, and the wrapper is flawlessly wrapped. After lighting the cigar the first 1/3 i was treated with they hay from the cold draw, the leather seemed to be gone. Cream and earth tones fill my palette and a slight hint of spice linger in the background.
2/3 the spice ramps up and in my opinion the cigar goes from a mild, to a medium to full smoke. This is the way I love my Connecticuts to be, full of smoke and a kick to the mouth. Along with the spice, i am still getting the earth tones, and might be just a hint of chocolate in there.
Final 3rd is all spice, cedar and cream and man what a way to finish out the smoke. This is a great smoke, paired well with coffee, no better way to start off a day if you ask me! This is one of my top 5 Connecticuts I love to smoke, I would highly recommend you picking up a few!
